Harvest Supper 2006
What a really pleasant evening this was. Congratulations and thanks are most definitely in order for Jane Horner and Wendy Chapman who were the main organisers but also to the many other helpers who put in the effort to ensure this event ran so very smoothly.
It's not easy to design a meal for 60+ people but they did. And a delightful main course it was, followed by desert but then the highlight of the evening was a fun display of magic by Peter Chapman. No doubt if Tommy Cooper was still around he would be very worried - very worried indeed as Peter's magic tricks all succeeded - just like that!!
Here are a few of the photos taken during the evening. A welcoming drink on arrival and then the meal was served.
And then it was Peter's turn - ably assisted by unsuspecting members of the audience
At one point someone was heard to say "How do you do that?" as the metal rings separated. "Ah", said Peter, "it's magic!"
Here are a few more photos.
And then it was time for the Indian Rope Trip - sorry about the image being a little dark - perhaps it all adds to the mystery!! Don't forget to turn your speakers on to hear a little bit of banter as well as audience appreciation.
